Bomb sight
We've had many examples of poor management communication. Keep sending them, and we'll report one a week.
Mary Sutton at Rebus Software was once on placement at the Department of Education and Science, where she accidentally overheard security guards discussing a suspect package in the mailroom.
"When we looked out of the window, the whole street had been fenced off, and on the other side of the fencing, there were lots of police cars," she says. Thirty minutes later, they were told about a bomb over the tannoy.
Oh, and the message told them: "Please don't leave the building."
