CA Technologies interviewed 2,500 consumers across Europe about their experiences when conducting online transactions – including the purchase of travel insurance (Insurance comparison sites expose weakness in legacy technology).

We discovered that 60 per cent of UK consumers had encountered problems that had nothing to do with broadband issues when attempting this task. We also found that 82 per cent of those who do, do not report them; and 64 per cent find an alternative within 20 seconds. The causes of slow pages – the top peeve – are often deeply rooted in today’s complex composite service infrastructure.
