Travelex cashes in through workforce management

Software ensures staffing schedules match customer demand

Travelex has invested in workforce management software to reduce staff costs and deal better with busy periods.

The WorkPlace Systems software allows the foreign exchange company to design and implement staffing schedules that specifically meet customer demand and improves customer service.

It also ensures staff time is not wasted manning stores during quiet periods, saving costs.

'This has delivered immediate impact on our business,' said Paul Swainson, UK retail director at Travelex.

The product, which will be rolled out at 140 stores in major airports and ports, will also improve the operational side of staff management.

Travelex has grown rapidly from a bureau de change operator to a worldwide money business offering a variety of consumer and business services. Its growth to more than 6200 staff worldwide means staff management is increasingly important.
