RAF simulates flight with Fest

Data Sciences' aerospace unit has won a #400,000 contract to supply and maintain a Flight Engineering Systems Trainer (Fest) for the Royal Air Force Engineering College Department of Specialist Ground Training at RAF Cranwell. Fest will be used by RAF engineer officers studying for an MSc in aeronautical engineering to understand the flight and handling characteristics of different types of aircraft. Students will be able to alter the design parameters of an aircraft, and experience 'hands on' how these changes affect its behaviour from within the cockpit. Delivery is scheduled for this month.
