Digital ID service launched by BT and Verisign

BT is to launch a digital certificate service this week in conjunction with security company Verisign. Digital certificates are used to confirm the identity of trading partners on the Internet. BT?s head of ecommerce marketing Neil Mellor said that no other company offered a managed certificate service in the UK.
