Fedex moves to 128bit encryption
Federal Express (Fedex) is moving to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology for its global electronic commerce operations and will use 128bit encryption between global offices and its customers. Although the US government only allows the export of 56bit encryption, Fedex claims that as a multi-national it has the right to roll the encryption across its company because the encryption facility will only be available to employees and customers who have access to its intranet.
