RSA targets smaller firms with new appliance
Two-factor authentication for remote and home workers
RSA Security has launched a new, easy-to-install appliance designed to enable smaller firms to secure their home and remote workers with two-factor authentication devices.
The RSA SecurID Appliance 100, which has the capacity for up to 100 users, comes with 25 three-year RSA SecurID tokens that generate a one-time password for secure login for remote workers.
It can also interoperate with other remote access solutions and fits neatly into existing security infrastructures with minimum disruption, said RSA.
Management and installation have also been simplified to appeal to firms with less technical resources to hand. The appliance is designed to take less than 15 minutes to install and is delivered via an intuitive web-based interface.
"RSA are keen to be seen as a security partner to organisations at every stage of their lifecycle, and the RSA SecurID Appliance 100 has an important role to play in helping us to achieve that," said the firm's Tim Pickard.
