US Robotics faces lawsuits

US Robotics' legal eagles are in for a busy time as it faces two new stockholder suits, protesting at the proposed merger with 3Com. As if that weren't enough, the Illinois company is also named in three class action suits in California, filed by consumers complaining about its 56K modem technology. Angry customers are turning the air blue with talk of false advertising, fraud, deceit and negligent representation, but USR's response is that the current crop of suits are without merit.
