Bank of England to overhaul HR systems

Logica will help bank move 9,000 employees to new system

The bank's HR systems will be automated and standardised

The Bank of England has signed a five-year contract with supplier Logica to overhaul its HR systems.

Logica will help the Bank move its 1,750 employees and 7,000 pensioners to a managed Oracle HR pay-as-you-go system.

The system offers performance management, recruitment, time and attendance, flexible benefits, HR analytics and a bureau payroll service.

Logica says it will bring greater automation and standardisation to the bank's HR services.

There will be a phased implementation, with the service scheduled to go live in 2010.

"We are delighted to have been chosen to help the Bank of England with its on-going development in HR services," said Patricia Taylor, UK director of BPO, Logica.

Logica already provides payroll outsourcing and HR services to Channel 4, KPN, Martinair and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
