Delta plumps for JD Edwards

The plumbing products division of UK industrial group Delta is spending several million pounds on software from JD Edwards. The US vendor beat rivals SAP and Baan to provide both its multi-platform OneWorld and its AS/400 World software to Delta units in 14 countries. Delta's divisional director Phillip King said JD Edwards' platform co-existence strategy was a big plus. 'We will be able to migrate at our own rate, rather than restructuring to fit the technology,' he said.
