Unisys improves on performance

Unisys states it is on track for an end-of-year launch of its 32-processor Intel-NT 'mainframe'. It said its Clearpath HMP IX6800 mainframe offers a significant increase in price-performance over previous models and the competition. It costs between $3,000 (£1,875) and $5,000 per mainframe Mips.
