BT plans harmony by merging Syntegra and Syncordia
BT is planning to refocus on the IT services market and merge its disparate IT services business units Syntegra and Syncordia by August. The move will create the largest single UK-owned IT services company, with £1.2 billion in revenues. Analyst Richard Holway said it would be 'capable of addressing the communications requirements of the market' and could soon have the management backing to make other 'acquisitions of substance.'
