Procter & Gamble signs global SAP deal

Consumer products giant aims to standardise on supplier's products

P&G will use SAP throughout its supply chain

Consumer manufacturing giant Procter & Gamble (P&G) has signed a global deal with SAP to provide the firm with a range of products and services.

The agreement is designed to create a relationship between the two companies that will enable collaboration, innovation, development and standardisation. In particular, SAP will help P&G lower the cost of its IT environment by standardising on its products across the firm’s supply chain.

“We are looking forward to leveraging the global enterprise agreement with SAP to step-change innovation in business services and to enhance the efficiency of our core business operations,” said Filippo Passerini, chief information officer at P&G.

The agreement will see SAP provide P&G with software and software maintenance, support and consulting services.

“P&G’s extended commitment to SAP as its strategic business partner is a testament to SAP’s continued leadership and innovation in the dynamic consumer products industry,” said Bill McDermott, member of the executive board, president and chief executive, global field operations, SAP.
