Sema seals Spelthorne deal

The London borough of Spelthorne is outsourcing IT services to Sema Group in a five-year contract worth #1.75 million. Spelthorne was one of the first councils to use IT outsourcing in 1989 when it signed Perthcrest, now part of Sema. The borough aims to save at least #250,000 a year through the contract, which involves the decommissioning of mainframe services following implementation of a new finance suite.
