Redbus venture goes online
Exactly seven years after he founded Demon Internet, Cliff Stanford will open the doors to the first internet-related business to be backed by his venture capital company, Redbus Investments.
On 1 June, Redbus Interhouse will open an independent facility that will host web servers in a secure building in London's Docklands.
The company claims to offer a new class of service in facilities management that provides backup power, on-site security, 24-hour system and application monitoring, resilience and fire protection.
Interhouse will be offering short-term contracts for ISPs and businesses, allowing them to switch between service providers. "Businesses can concentrate on their core competencies and trust in new levels of technical expertise and security," said Kevin Neal of Redbus Interhouse.
Stanford launched Redbus Investments last May in a bid to back innovative ideas from British companies and individuals. It has put #4m into Interhouse.
