Moonwalk One: Behind the scenes of the Apollo 11 mission

Theo Kamecke talks about his commission from NASA to create a behind-the-scenes documentary about the historic moon landing mission

In 1969, as NASA was preparing to put a man on the moon for the first time, the agency hired Theo Kamecke to create a documentary about the event. Theo was the only civilian allowed anywhere near the project, but his final movie was only briefly exposed to the public before nearly being lost forever.

The original footage was recovered and a two disc DVD has been released in time for the 40th anniversary of that historic mission.
