IBM Impact 2011: IT and business leaders come together

Thousands are gathering in Las Vegas to learn how to 'achieve business objectives through technology'

The annual IBM Impact conference kicks off this week in Las Vegas, where more than 6,600 business and IT leaders will gather to learn how to "work smarter for better business outcomes".

The lofty goal is to bring technology and business disciplines closer together so that companies can better achieve their targets.

During the week-long event there will be sessions on leadership skills, master business process management, service-oriented architecture and cloud solutions.

Among the many speakers at the event are Steve Mills, IBM senior vice president and group executive of software and systems, and Frank Kern, IBM senior vice president of global business services.
