Caffè Nero serves up free Wi-Fi to customers

Coffee shop teams up with The Cloud to offer free Wi-Fi in 450 outlets across the UK

Caffè Nero has implemented free wireless internet access for its customers in 450 outlets nationwide.

The coffee house teamed up with public access Wi-Fi provider The Cloud to enable the service, which will be available from September 2011.

"Having a strong, fast and reliable internet connection is important to our customers and helps integrate Caffè Nero into the local community as a neighbourhood gathering spot," said Shane Moates, head of business development at Caffè Nero.

He added that the coffee house has a set service level agreement in place to ensure its customers receive a decent signal.

Steve Nicholson, managing director of The Cloud, added: "Consumers and business people now expect to be able to access a quality internet connection wherever they are, for both social and work-related reasons, and coffee shops are a popular places for people to do this."
