Top of the review charts for V3 readers this year was our comparison of the Galaxy S4 against the previous generation iPhone 5. The Apple handset was victorious in that battle, and with the new iPhone 5S launched in the autumn of 2013, Apple managed to keep its hold on the Samsung vs Apple rivalry.

Readers were also keen to see whether the S4 was a worthwhile upgrade from the S3, and similarly whether to upgrade from an iPhone 5 to the 5C.
