Top 10 most read: Shell cloud use, Ubuntu Touch smartphone, V3 Tablet App for Android

Many major organisations are now fully embarking on cloud strategies and the latest evidence of this came from HP's Discover event in Barcelona.
Shell revealed that it is embracing cloud wherever possible in order to reduce hardware costs and boost efficiency. This comes despite the oil giant admitting that there are security concerns and a lack of maturity in cloud services, as the benefits outweigh the potential pitfalls.
On the subject of security, the government's push to create a new Cyber Security Suppliers' (CSS) scheme to boost the UK's cyber security exports past £2bn within three years was big in the news, although some urged for more focus on SMEs.
Another issue that made the headlines was Canonical's plan to release an Ubuntu-based smartphone in 2014 after the attempt at crowdsourcing the cost of a device fell short earlier in 2013. The firm believes this proves there is enough interest to push ahead with development of the device, which is called the Edge.
Finally, V3 itself made the top 10 list with the news that the V3 Tablet App is now on Android, with all past editions of the publication now available to download, free of charge.
The December issue is also now available for Android and iOS, as we celebrate the end of the year with a look back at some of our best content from 2013.
