London Borough of Hackney looking for HR and payroll system in £2.5m tender

Borough is also looking for an e-recruitment system in a contract worth £298,000

The London Borough of Hackney has issued a tender for an HR and payroll system, and an e-recruitment system.

The borough said it is seeking to establish a maximum of two contracts through the tender exercise.

The first contract is for the purchase of an HR and payroll hosted solution, including system and associated support and maintenance services.

According to the tender notice, the size of the workforce is around 8,000, which includes staff based in and/or working for schools, Hackney Learning Trust and Hackney Homes. The borough said that there are up to 120,000 payments per annum and approximately 50 payrolls.

The second contract is for the purchase of an e-recruitment system and associated support and maintenance services. The notice states that there were 650 vacancies last year and up to 100,000 applications were processed.

Both contracts will be for an initial term of five years with the option to extend them further for up to five years in two instalments of 24 months and a final instalment of 12 months.

The contracts are covered by the Government Procurement Agreement, and the estimated value excluding VAT is £2.8m - the vast majority of which (£2.5m) is for the HR and payroll system.
