Florence Aluu is a tech entrepreneur passionate about transforming education and community engagement through virtual reality (VR) and the metaverse.
As the founder of Flosverse Techsphere CIC, Florence leads initiatives that utilize VR to create immersive learning environments, from creating immersive training solutions to preserving local history. It’s VR-based electrical safety training app is used by apprentices at different colleges within Scotland, and the company is developing metaverse environments that will provide valuable work experience opportunities for Level 6 and 7 students across high schools in Scotland.
In addition to Florence’s technological innovations, she is deeply invested in community building and STEM advocacy, demonstrated by her organising of intergenerational VR history-sharing projects funded by the National Lottery, focusing on the history of Gala Days in Armadale.
Florence has also led tech taster sessions in Craigshill, one of Scotland's deprived areas. She also hosts gaming events aimed at inspiring young people in West Lothian to pursue careers in STEM, while providing game development and VR training solutions to youth in the region.
Florence holds a Metaverse Design Expert certification and was honoured as a Start-Up Winner in 2023, while being a finalist nominee for the Digital Leader & Emerging Tech Champion category at the Women in Tech Excellence Awards 2024.
