John (Yiannis) Seglias

John Seglias is a global IT leader with a track record of operating at executive level, leading digital functions, delivering mission-critical programmes, managing substantial budgets and helping businesses extract maximum value from technology. He is highly experienced at supporting organisations through transformation and fast growth periods, including mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing and offshoring of IT services.
John is currently the group CDIO at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, and previously served as the CIO for Electricity Transmission at the National Grid, where he was accountable for all aspects of IT and digital delivery. His remit included guiding the company through regulatory frameworks and transforming the organisation through innovative technology.
John has also worked as the CDIO at Defra - responsible for digital, data and technology services, where he led a team of over 1,100 colleagues and delivered the IT services necessary to ensure Defra was ready for Brexit - the group CIO at Abellio, and the global IT director at Ipsos.
Comfortable operating internationally, John has a multicultural profile, having worked and lived in the UK, France, Greece, Lebanon, Germany, Luxembourg and Spain. Native in Greek and English, he is also fluent in French and Spanish.
