Sam Murray

Sam Murray has over 20 years of experience in supporting and implementing technical solutions in the financial sector. She currently serves as the head of business systems technology at Lowell.

Sam leads a department responsible for Lowell's business systems and technology solutions, and has also held a role overseeing the application operations team.

Sam's leadership abilities were recognised by Computing last year, as she was shortlisted for IT Leader of the Year at the 2023 Women in Tech Excellence Awards, an achievement she takes great pride in.

With experience leading teams of varying sizes, Sam believes in the power of teamwork and empowering each team member to reach their full potential. She is a proponent of servant leadership, particularly for highly skilled teams.

Sam's extensive career in the financial sector has spanned various roles, including an IT consultant at Nationale-Nederlanden, where she worked on a high-profile, high-pressure project, and an information management and IT support officer at St. Anne's Community Services, where she automated reporting and monitoring processes while supporting the organisation's IT systems.
